What was your first job?
My first job, I was 14 years and old and assisted running kid’s birthday parties at a gymnastics school. I loved the energy and excitement each child brought to my day. This job taught me efficiency, making sure all points of the party ran on time, and I also got really skilled at cutting birthday cake.
What is your favorite thing about your career?
My favorite thing about working in Marketing is that no day is the same. We must constantly evolve with the daily changes in the organization, industry and the business world. The digital world is growing so rapidly, I don’t anticipate things will slow down anytime soon and that is exciting!
What three items would you take with you on a deserted island?
If I were on a deserted island, and could take only three items, I would take a pen, paper and my cell phone. I would take the pen and paper so I could satisfy my creative side and write or draw anything and everything. Maybe I would even write a book about my experiences on the island. Then I would take my cell phone, because with social media, I wouldn’t really feel deserted!!
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Gosh, I love working in Marketing, I do feel like it’s exactly what I should be doing. However, if I had to choose something else, I would like to try being an Interior Designer. This way I could still utilize the creative side of my brain. I love decorating and organizing, it’s always been a calming activity for me. I believe this career would be very satisfying to help people express themselves through design. It would also be fun if I could work with celebrities. 😉
What is your proudest accomplishment?
This would 100% be my son. He has brought more smiles to my face and love to my heart. Being a parent has taught me to let go of all control over my life, because let’s face it, he now has control of me, and to just have FUN! He is a miracle that I will never take for granted.
