About TTA
TTA is passionate about connecting companies with the best L&D freelance talent available. Together, teams can leverage their skills, experience, and additional help to achieve any learning initiative. We believe when the right talent works with an organization, magic happens and it ignites personal and organizational growth. That’s why it’s been our focus and dedication for 30 years.
TTA began in 1994—in the basement of a family home in Framingham, Massachusetts. Maria Melfa, President & CEO, and her father, Vic Melfa, Chairman of the Board, saw a need to provide on-demand trainers to help training centers across the country. Previously, being an owner of a large training center, they knew the hassles and time it took to find qualified, experienced, and reliable trainers. TTA was started because of these challenges we faced and the need for a company that specialized in placing learning and development talent.
Today, we have grown to be the largest provider of L&D independent professionals to organizations of all sizes, from start-ups to the majority of Fortune 500 companies. We have an L&D talent community of over 23,000 contract professionals and have trained over 6 million learners, across 97 countries, and in 35 languages.
TTA was founded by Maria Melfa, President & CEO and Vic Melfa, Chairman of the Board, in 1994. This powerful duo proved to be a winning formula for the success of the business.
Maria would often bring her son, Thomas, into the office. We think these visits early in his childhood helped him get into the University of Michigan. Go blue!
We’re fortunate to have grown over the past three decades. It’s always exciting to move to larger spaces to accommodate more employees.
Casey frequently visits the office and is always a favorite pup to see. We’re a dog loving place here!
TTA moved into a new office building and business park, Apex Center, in February 2020. Great people, great food, and great modern working space make for a great place to work!
We nurture a positive culture that values honesty, integrity, collaboration, kindness, flexibility, and a growth mindset. We are passionate about what we do and are successful because of our talented team of dedicated employees, experienced L&D experts, and clients who trust us to help them with their training initiatives.
Our community of independent L&D talent trusts us to provide exciting work opportunities matched to their interests, skills, and freelance career goals.
Trainers, coaches, instructional designers, content developers, eLearning developers, learning strategists, project managers, training coordinators, speakers, LMS administrators, and technical writers call TTA home and are ready to provide expertise and best practices to your learning projects.
We help L&D leaders, HR teams, and anyone in small and large organizations who need additional training resources and expertise beyond their current staff to get training done.
From a one-day training class to a multi-year global program, our clients rely on us to provide the on-demand talent needed to handle any project.
We believe employees perform their best when they are engaged, appreciated, and happy. We work to foster a collaborative and fun work environment where people thrive. We love working together at TTA and it shows with every interaction.
An entrepreneurial spirit is what our family business was built on. Today, this mindset continues to infiltrate our culture through beliefs, shared values, and the amazing people who work together to make it all happen. That’s why we’ve been voted among the best places to work for so many years.
It’s not just a job. It’s a place to come share ideas, and treat each other as family. It’s this spirit that drives the dynamic collaboration between our teams and our clients. Even in those days (and yes, we’ve had those days) where things don’t function properly, we come together just like a dysfunctional family. 😉
