Get to Know Jocelyn!
What was your first job?
I worked at a bread bakery when I was 14. I learned EVERYTHING about what it meant to be a good employee at this job. You had to work hard to get tasks done quickly and efficiently, uphold hygienic standards, and give outstanding customer service. This job is the reason why I have high standards as an employee and value the hard work of others so highly.
What motivates you to work hard?
It always motivates me to work hard when the people around me are experiencing success. Whether it be clients or colleagues, when I am surrounded by people who are thriving because of their own hard work, a team effort, or because of something I have contributed, I always want to push harder to ensure that they see continued success. When I succeed, so do my partners, and vice versa. It’s the most rewarding way or showing that hard work will pay off.
If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
I would definitely want the power of super speed! I would be able to get redundant tasks done more quickly to then be able to enjoy other things in life at my own pace…and breezing through traffic would be a dream come true.
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
I always sing “Something to Talk About” by Bonnie Raitt because I’ve been told that my voice sounds like a mixture of Fergie and Jesus (name that movie!)
What celebrity would you like to meet at Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts for a cup of coffee?
Mark Cuban. He is well spoken and knowledgeable in so many facets of the business world that and I would love to pick his brain about how he has made the decisions he’s made to become successful as well as the mistakes that he bounced back from.
