Project Summary: United Refrigeration Inc
United Refrigeration Inc. (URI), one of the largest distributors of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with 400 locations in North America. Between their eleven on-site locations, storefronts, and virtual locations, URI is spanned across 45 states and Canada and is comprised of 1,725 employees. URI experienced a significant increase in the number of harassment complaints escalating to the Human Resources department. Sexual harassment, derogatory statements, and bullying were among the behaviors regularly being reported. URI could not allow this type of behavior to continue and determined that simply having anti-harassment policies in place was not enough. They needed to make a significant change in their cultural and wanted to implement preventative measures to stop the incidents from occurring URI searched for a training partner that would be able to provide both a subject-matter expert and experienced facilitator who was able to model and manage difficult topics and discussions. They chose to partner with TTA based on experience and reputation. TTA worked with URI to understand organizational issues and deliver a custom training program both in-person and virtual on sexual harassment prevention and anti-bullying.
