Judy Gadd is the Communications Coordinator who is part of the Admin Team that assists all departments with administrative needs and the daily running of the office as well as special events throughout the year. Judy believes that being part of the Admin Team is an important part of any business. It is very satisfying to help prepare for an event for the team and to see the event run smoothly and the employees having a good time and expressing their gratitude after the event. There is a lot of ‘behind the scenes’ work and seeing the results from that work is also very satisfying. She is very thankful to be able to work with a seasoned Admin who has taught her so much and she continues learn from her on a daily basis. We are all very fortunate at TTA to be employed by someone who offers us a great work environment with plenty of flexibility with our work schedules, extra ‘Fun Days’ for additional time off, and many fun events, parties, and other benefits throughout the year.
One of the most rewarding and enjoyable parts of the job is the work that we do with different charities. Seeing the generosity of my co-workers who support the charity and then being able to meet individuals who have benefited from our efforts as well as meeting the people who work so diligently for these charities to ensure our donations go to those who need it most. Fisher House is one of those great charities that has so much meaning to me as a lot of us have family members who served for our country and may still be recovering from their time served. It is good to see such a great organization such as Fisher House helping our soldiers and their families who have been through so much so that we are able to live in this great country. Judy holds an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science from Quinsigamond Community College.
Judy’s Top 5 CliftonStrengths:
Get to Know Judy!
If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?
I would like to permanently eliminate people that hurt other people or animals. I would have the ability to fling them off the face of the earth with the flick of a finger, which would be called Ping (seriously thought about writing a book about Ping). There would of course be no repercussion for my actions, as I would be a super-hero.
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
After quite a few beverages and lots of encouragement from friends, Meatloaf’s Paradise by the Dashboard Light, or Summer Nights from the soundtrack of Grease.
What is your favorite thing about your career?
The great people I get to work with, the variety of work, seeing results of the team’s actions, and being at a place where you are truly appreciated.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I always thought it would be great to be a mail carrier because you would get paid to exercise (if you had a walking route), but I did not pursue it as I did not want to have to be away from my family on Saturdays for mail delivery.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
I have three. The birth of my two children, Rebecca and Christopher, and my marriage of 31 years to Paul.
